Create a project and upload between 5 and 20 photos — family snapshots, vacation shots, portraits, events, landscapes. JPEG, PNG, and HEIC are all supported. No editing or preparation needed.
The photos stay private by default. They are only made public if you explicitly share your finished film.
Vision AI analyzes each photo
Vision AI examines every photo individually — identifying subjects, composition, emotional tone, color palette, setting, and time period. Each photo receives a rich set of descriptive tags that guide every downstream step.
This analysis is what allows the film to feel intentional rather than random. The AI knows which photos have similar subjects, which are candid vs. posed, and which carry the strongest emotional weight.
AI builds a story arc
A language model reads the tags for all your photos and sequences them into a three-act narrative structure — opening, middle, and close. The result is a film that tells a coherent story, not a slideshow in upload order.
Strong openers and emotionally resonant closers are identified automatically. The sequence is optimized for pacing and visual variety.
AI generates motion video clips
Each photo is passed to an image-to-video AI model, which generates a unique 5-second cinematic clip — with natural camera motion, parallax depth, and subtle subject movement. Portrait photos generate portrait clips; landscape photos generate landscape clips.

AI composes an original music score
A music AI generates an original score tailored to the mood, pacing, and subject matter of your specific film. The score is not stock audio — it is composed fresh for your photo set based on a brief written by the story AI.
You choose a cinema style before submitting, and the music brief is written to match: warm and nostalgic for Classic, sparse and reflective for Documentary, energetic for Celebration, gentle and tender for Memorial.
Cloud pipeline renders the film
A cloud render pipeline assembles your clips in narrative order, layers the score, adds an opening title card with your film name, and closes with a fade-out end card. The output is a finished 1080p MP4.
Rendering typically completes in 5–15 minutes. You'll see a live progress indicator tracking each stage — analysis, clip generation, music, and render.

How many photos do I need?
snapshots.cloud works best with 5 to 20 photos. Fewer than 5 makes it difficult to build a meaningful story arc. A set of 9–12 photos typically produces a 60–90 second film.
What types of photos work best?
Any photos work — old family photos, vacation shots, portraits, events, or landscapes. The AI handles scanned prints, iPhone HEIC, and standard JPEG/PNG. Black-and-white and sepia photos are fully supported.
What format and resolution is the output?
Films are delivered in 1080p Full HD. You can choose 16:9 landscape (1920×1080) or 9:16 portrait (1080×1920) for vertical social media. The output is an MP4 suitable for sharing on any platform.
