1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the snapshots.cloud platform, including all features, APIs, and services we provide. It exists alongside our Terms of Service and applies to all users, regardless of account type or subscription level.
The goal is simple: use snapshots.cloud for its intended purpose — restoring, enhancing, and animating your personal photographs — in a way that is lawful, respectful, and doesn't harm others or the platform.

- Constitutes non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) of any person, real or AI-generated
- Is pornographic or sexually explicit, whether original or AI-generated
Harmful and deceptive content
- Is designed to deceive viewers into believing AI-generated content is authentic documentary footage or photography
- Constitutes a deepfake intended to impersonate, defame, harass, or defraud any individual
- Is used to create synthetic media of real people for fraudulent purposes — including financial fraud, identity theft, or impersonation
- Is designed to manipulate elections or political discourse through deceptive synthetic media
- Contains malware, viruses, exploits, or any code designed to harm systems or users
Hateful and violent content
- Promotes, glorifies, or incites violence against any person or group
- Constitutes hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin

- Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Constitutes or facilitates illegal surveillance, stalking, or harassment
- Involves stolen, fraudulently obtained, or illegally sourced material
4. Prohibited Behaviours
Regardless of the content involved, you may not:
Platform abuse
- Automated access — use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or automated scripts to access the platform, submit uploads, or extract data without our written permission
- API abuse — access or attempt to access internal APIs not documented for public use, or use our APIs in ways that exceed reasonable usage or circumvent rate limits
- Credential sharing — share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account
- Account farming — create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, obtain free credits, or evade a suspension or ban
- Reverse engineering — attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code, model weights, or proprietary algorithms from the platform
- Circumventing moderation — attempt to evade content moderation systems, upload screening, or safety filters by any means
- Load abuse — deliberately submit jobs designed to consume excessive computational resources, disrupt the service, or degrade performance for other users
Security violations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, data, or content
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorisation — see our Security Policy for responsible disclosure
- Introduce malicious code, exploits, or crafted files designed to attack our processing pipeline
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or any action that impairs service availability
- Intercept or attempt to intercept communications between users and the platform
Misuse of AI output
- Use AI-generated output to harass, stalk, defame, or harm any individual
- Use AI-generated depictions of identifiable individuals in commercial advertising without their explicit written consent
- Present AI-animated video as authentic historical or documentary footage with intent to deceive
- Use AI-generated output to create synthetic evidence for use in legal proceedings
- Resell raw AI output from snapshots.cloud as a standalone commercial product (e.g., stock footage) without written permission
Commercial misuse
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label access to the snapshots.cloud platform without written agreement
- Build a competing product or service using knowledge, data, or access gained through snapshots.cloud
- Use the platform to process content on behalf of third parties at scale without a commercial agreement
5. Credit System Integrity
- You may not attempt to obtain credits through fraudulent means, including chargebacks on legitimate purchases, exploiting promotional offers, or any form of payment fraud
- You may not transfer, sell, or gift credits to other users
- Accounts found to have obtained credits fraudulently will be terminated and may be reported to relevant authorities
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including — but not limited to:
- Content removal — removing content that violates this AUP without notice
- Warning — issuing a formal warning for minor or first violations
- Temporary suspension — suspending account access pending investigation
- Permanent termination — terminating accounts for serious, repeated, or egregious violations
- Credit forfeiture — forfeiting unused credits on termination for AUP violations, with no refund
- Legal referral — referring serious violations to law enforcement or relevant regulatory authorities
- Civil action — pursuing civil remedies for damages caused by AUP violations
We will generally attempt to contact you before taking action, except where the violation is severe (e.g., CSAM, active fraud, security attack), where immediate action is required without notice.
7. Reporting Violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, or if you have encountered content that should not be on the platform, please report it to: trust@snapshots.cloud
We investigate all reports and take appropriate action. Reports are kept confidential. We do not share the identity of reporters with the subject of a report.
8. No Liability for User Content
snapshots.cloud does not pre-screen all user content and is not responsible for content uploaded or created by users. We operate a content moderation system and respond to reports, but we cannot guarantee that all violating content is identified and removed immediately. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you may encounter content uploaded by others that you find objectionable.
